Release Radar: What’s New in the Modular Solutions Platform February & March 2026
Welcome to our monthly roundup of platform updates at Modular Solutions! With a fast-paced three-week development cycle, we’re constantly innovating to bring next-level technology to our clients. (You can find the January 2026 Release Notes here.)
Here’s what’s been released in February & March 2026:
Admin Module
Admin Troubleshooting
Authorized administrators within your organization can now temporarily impersonate employees to view and interact with the platform exactly as the employee would. This capability helps administrators troubleshoot reported issues, validate permissions, and assist users more effectively without requiring screen sharing. Impersonation sessions mirror the employee’s existing permissions and remain fully auditable, with tenant security controls and session time limits enforced at all times.
Authentication System & Login Page
We have updated our authentication system and login page to improve reliability and performance.
Claims Module
Recoveries: Auto-Create Receivable When Salvage is Sold & Withdraw if Unsold
When you mark a salvage item as Sold, the system now automatically creates a receivable for the sale of proceeds, with the sold amount required to complete the action. If a salvage item is later marked as Unsold, the system automatically withdraws the receivable and records a reversing recovery transaction.
Payment Approvals: Approval Notes Across Claim (Approval Timeline)
Approval notes entered during payment approvals are now saved at the claim level and displayed on future payment approvals for the same claim, giving approvers clear historical context when making decisions over time. All prior and newly added notes appear in a chronological timeline, while existing approval rules and thresholds remain unchanged.
Claims Module &
Policy Module
Reinsurers Tab
The Reinsurers tab now groups entries by Risk Group across the Policy Overview and Claims areas, making it clearer why multiple coverage groups may appear and aligning the display with how subscriptions are shown elsewhere. This update also allows sorting within each Risk Group using the existing columns, helping users review reinsurer information more intuitively.
Claims Change Notes for Claims Module Changes
Change notes can now be suppressed for updates made within the Claims module to prevent confusion when users are working on policy versions. Changes to dates will no longer generate notes, and amounts and status will only create change notes when updates originate from an external source.
Finance Module
A/R Reconciliation Credit Visibility
Updates have been made to the A/R reconciliation screens to improve visibility of available credit and credit applied throughout the reconciliation workflow. The screens now present a clearer breakdown between opening balance, credits, and payment amounts, making it easier to understand how balances are resolved and how payment amounts relate to the final deposit when moving between the In Progress, Completed, and Deposited views.
Automated Reminders for Policy Payments and Credit Card Expiry
New automated reminders provide advance notice of upcoming policy payments and credit cards nearing expiry that are used for billing. Email notifications are sent prior to scheduled charges and before stored payment cards expire, allowing time for payment details to be reviewed or updated if needed. This enhancement improves visibility into upcoming billing events and helps reduce payment interruptions caused by expired cards or missed payments.
Show Balance & Payments for Reversed Policy
Reversed renewal terms now appear in the Finance module Policy Term dropdown, clearly labeled to indicate their status. Users can view the original charge, the corresponding refund, and confirm that the balance nets to zero. This update improves transparency and makes it easier to validate the full financial lifecycle of a reversed policy without additional investigation.
A/R Rec Overpayment
A/R Reconciliation now provides improved flexibility when applying broker credit. Users can reconcile a policy entirely with available credit using a streamlined confirmation modal or apply a custom credit amount as part of a partial reconciliation. Available credit is clearly displayed during the process, helping ensure accurate and transparent settlement of policy balances.
Finance Module & Policy Module
Downloadable Payment Receipts
Downloadable payment receipts are now available for completed policy transactions. Once a payment is successfully processed and marked as paid, a receipt can be generated from the Payments tab and downloaded. Each receipt provides an official record of the transaction and is stored in the Attachments tab on the policy for future reference by brokers and staff.
Gateway Module & Policy Module
Rating Context
Rating context can now be applied at the risk level for repeatable risks, ensuring rating calculations are evaluated per individual risk rather than shared across the entire risk group.
QuotePrefix Field for Quote & Policy Number Generation
A new optional QuotePrefix field can now be configured in Product Definition to control the prefix used for quote and policy number generation. If QuotePrefix is populated it will be used; otherwise, it will not.
Subscription Permissions
Subscription permissions have been updated to improve how users view and manage subscriptions within the modal experience. A user can now both View and Add (edit) subscriptions, only View subscriptions (can see them but cannot change them) or not view them at all (the subscription button is hidden from the user).
Riskgroup – Add/Remove More Scope
New functionality is now available to better control risk group scope during rules of execution, including safeguards that prevent primary risk groups from being marked for removal and improved handling of risk groups added or removed by rules. Policy and rules’ responses are now sanitized, so non-persisted rule-driven risk group changes are not returned, ensuring outputs reflect only persisted data.
Stakeholder Module
Stakeholder/Broker Admin Employees
Visibility configuration for Broker Employees in the Stakeholder module has been simplified to reduce manual setup and ongoing maintenance. Instead of manually selecting employees, roles, or role groups one by one, visibility now supports persistent default behavior that automatically includes employees who share a broker code. New employees are automatically included when added, eliminating the need to revisit and update existing records. The result is fewer clicks during setup, more consistent visibility across teams, and a smoother onboarding experience as your brokerage grows.
Policy Module
Manual Subscribe
The Manual Subscribe experience has been enhanced to make insurer assignments easier to review and manage, with the ability to filter or sort columns, see the percentage information for a Coverage Group, and a new option to copy assignments from one risk group to other risk groups. These updates help customers work more efficiently and identify incomplete or overallocated coverage group percentages more quickly when managing subscription details.
Policy & Quote Number Formats
Policy and quote number formats can now be configured to support flexible numbering structures, including formats that begin with numbers. Existing products will continue using the default formats if no configuration is provided.
Subscription Documentation
Subscription documentation can now be configured to hide the Name and Signature columns in the List of Subscribing Companies section for specific documents, such as the Quote Summary. This allows signatures to be omitted on selected documents while continuing to display them on others like the Declaration or AFI.
Closed Work Item for Policy Reversal
Customers can now see a closed work item in the worklist when a policy reversal occurs, providing a clearer view of the full sequence of policy lifecycle events. This update aligns reversal events with existing lifecycle activities so users can better understand what has happened to their policy directly from the worklist.
Quote Summary Excludes Coverage Groups Not Present and With $0 Values
The Quote Summary will now exclude Coverage Groups that are not present on the policy and have $0 values, ensuring only applicable coverage information is displayed. This prevents unused Coverage Groups from appearing on the Quote Summary and improves clarity for users reviewing policy details.
Configure Manual Subscriptions at Renewal
You can now configure whether manual subscriptions are retained at renewal or cleared so automated insurer assignment can run again, giving your team more control over renewal behavior. This update supports existing setups by default while allowing products to be configured to either keep manual subscriptions year over year or reset them during renewal.
Rules Processing Indicator
A new, more subtle rules processing indicator is now displayed within the funnel to improve the user experience when system rules are running. When a user attempts to move to the next step, a lightweight visual indicator (such as a shimmer effect) appears and temporarily prevents progression until processing completes, reducing disruption while maintaining proper validation.
Subscription Details on Documents
Subscription details can now be displayed across specific documents to meet subscriber disclosure requirements. The SubscriptionSection and SubscriptionSectionVerbiage can be configured per document, with customizable preamble text, controlled placement, and automatic suppression when no subscription exists.
Auto Register Letter – Activity
New functionality is now available to automatically cancel a policy when a payment retry is declined for configured products or payment plans. The system generates a registered letter and creates a SysUpdate activity to reflect success or failure, including term validation and configuration checks. If you have an internal product designer, please refer to the guide for more information. If you would like to implement this new functionality, please submit a support change request.
Change Request: Adding Premium to Change Notes
You can now see the premium impact of changes directly within Change Notes, providing greater transparency into why premium was added or returned during a policy change. Transaction Premiums are shown by Risk/Coverage level and totaled up to the Risk Group level within the Change Note to help you better understand and track premium adjustments.
Subscription – Manual Subscribe at Quote
You can now manually subscribe a risk group before quoting by using the new Subscribe button on the Risk Group Summary and Quote Summary pages when a policy version is In Progress, enabling you to configure reinsurers for accurate quote calculations and related documents. The existing Subscribe modal and form behavior remain unchanged, continuing to support both policy-level and risk-group-level contract assignment while allowing updates to re-rate as details change.
Subscription – Modal – Allow Edit of Reinsurer Commission
You can now edit the reinsurer’s participation and commission percentages for a specific policy version directly in the Subscription modal, including capturing an override reason when a commission value is changed. Updated validations ensure commission overrides stay within 0–100% and are consistently applied during issuance and key lifecycle actions like change/renewal reversals.
Policy Module & Product Module
Document – Subscription Verbiage Configurability
Subscription verbiage is now configurable through a new Subscription print definition tab, allowing customizable titles, column headers, and content across documents such as the Declaration Page and Quote Proposal. The subscription page is divided into configurable Verbiage and Split sections, with backward compatibility maintained when the new configuration is not present.
Policy Module & Reinsurance Module
Subscription – Update Reinsurance to Support NO IA/Internal contracts (meaning no result)
Reinsurance subscription now supports scenarios where no Internal Contract and no Insurer Assignment Algorithm are present, requiring manual subscription before a quote can proceed. When no contracts are returned, users will be prevented from quoting until valid contracts are manually assigned, ensuring all coverage and risk groups are properly subscribed prior to submission.
Finance Module & Gateway Module & Policy Module
Auto Register Letter – Configuration
Products and payment plans can now be configured to automatically cancel after a defined number of payment declines, with automated registered letter generation. New settings include Max Payment Decline Threshold, Cancellation Notice Days in Advance, Default Cancellation Type, and configurable letter and effective date offsets.
Claims Module & Policy Module & Finance Module & Stakeholder Module
Control Visibility of Employee in Activity Assignment form (Policy/Claims/Finance/Stakeholder)
Broker Employee Activity Assignment Visibility Control – We have introduced enhanced visibility controls for broker employees within the Stakeholder module. Users can now define whether a broker employee is selectable when assigning Activities. While configured in Stakeholder, this setting governs employee visibility across all modules that include Activities, including Policy, Claims, Finance, and Stakeholder. The default behavior is tenant configurable through broker settings, with batch upload supporting this option through a visibility column that defaults to true if left blank. This update provides greater flexibility for managing large broker employee lists while preserving a consistent Activity assignment experience across modules.
Some new features require a support change request. If you have an internal product designer, please reference the guide for more information on changes to products and documents. For any other questions, please reach out to our support team.
