  1. Customer chooses to pay by credit card: The insured selects a credit card payment option as part of the premium payment process. 
  2. Payment details are handled securely: Card information is handled using secure, tokenized payment processing rather than being stored directly in Modular. 
  3. Modular submits the payment for processing: Modular sends the payment through the live payment gateway and the system receives the outcome of the transaction so payment can be confirmed, declined, or otherwise updated immediately. 
  4. Payment activity is recorded in Modular: Modular stores the payment record, status, and confirmation details so users can track the transaction in the platform. 

Note that EBizCharge refers to Fiserv for credit card processing and must be used in conjunction with Shift4’s legacy Bambora payment gateway.
